This is a destination in Lisbon. You MUST go and enjoy the sweet and sour prawns, noodles, and dumplings. I’m Asian, and this place is authentic and extremely affordable. We loved it so much and wished we could go a second time, but didn’t have the opportunity during our visit.

Soooooo good and sooo affordable. Area to get to is a little sketchy but was no problem at all as Lisbon is overall a safe place. 5 dishes, glass of house wine beer and soft drink = $40 euros. Beat that.

Delicious home-made Chinese comfort food! They claimed to have the best sweet sour pork in Portugal, and I can confirm it was not a lie! Truly delicious! Super tender and full of flavour. Dumplings were simple but nice, would recommend to add some spicy chili sauce to it. Fried rice and noodles all good. Only the fried banana dessert was a bit disappointing as it didn’t have much flavor. Overall fantastic price-quality ratio! Interior is quite simple but clean. Only con is maybe the neighbourhood which is not the safest- Serviço

Fast, attentive and friendly service. They deserve a Michelin star for their sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken. We ordered other dishes and nothing failed. You know you’re in the right place when the chilli oil is is more than just oil and is SPICY (like Asian spicy). We ordered so much (around 5 dishes plus 3 bowls of rice) we worried we wouldn’t be able to finish them, yet it only costed us €8 per person (don’t worry, we finished em all cause they were all so good!).
This restaurant is the real definition of hidden gem. You access it through a winding road with a scatter of cafes and restaurant that are more popular among locals until you reach a junction that can only be accessed on foot. Take a flight of stairs down and you arrive at an unlikely neighbourhood with kids playing in the plaza, neighbours hanging their undies outside the apartment without a care and people watching a live football match on TV in an unassuming neighbourhood bar. On your right, hangs a lantern from the second floor of an apartment. That’s the clue. Enter building number 9, go up one floor, there you’ll discover a huge dining room full of locals enjoying the best Chinese food in Lisbon.- Serviço

“9° Agridoce” - the humble hidden Chinese restaurant
My friends have been talking about this place for months, and I finally have the chance to try it out.
The dishes served here are like every other stereotype western Chinese restaurant I know out there - fried noodles, dumpling, saucy stir fry… I didn’t have high expectations when I sat down.
I was blown away by the quality and taste! The sweet and sour pork was robust and refreshing, and I see why they are known for it. The servings are very big for the price they charge. It was a Friday night and there was still a queue along the stairs at 10pm.
All in all a very interesting experience. Cantonese approved and worth visiting!Best sweet and sour prawns/chicken we’ve ever tasted, the sauce is absolutely exquisite 🫰🏼 I recommend the chives dumplings also 🔥 The cute owner has the place fulled with photos of customers and she gives you candy in the end 💓🥹 Ps: they only take cash 💵

Great Chinese meal. I was referred to this place by my hotels front desk man. He told me a story about this place which I won’t go into but I walked 15 minutes, came up the stairs and saw a bunch of people eating. No one would find this place unless you’re a local, refereed or stumbled upon it. Marrow neighborhood street. The menu has enough good dishes not overwhelming like most Chinese restaurants around the world. Photos are provided and organized so it was easy for a foreigner to order. One waitress taking care of 20+ people and lady who may be the owner contributing. Nice photos of their customers all over the wall. They also have beer wine and pitcher of sangria looks really good. Had I not come by myself I’d have ordered five dishes and not just beer. Seriously the best Chinese in Lisbon!Big choice of dishes and always delicious food. Fried aubergine is my fav. Nice spot for a dinner with friends

A small, homely place with great Chinese food. We called for 08 (Spinach with Garlic), 59 (Spring Rolls), Fried rice with Chicken and Noodles with Chicken. The service was quick and the portion sizes were adequate. With a couple of beers, it still cost us less than 30 Euros! It's on the first floor and you can a nice view of the street if you sit by the window!

And it filled up 3 people. I love it. Also asked if they had nuts and the options we chose they said they didn't. Always ask before you buy (if you're allergic) . Also for foreigners, they understand a little bit of English but you should learn some Portuguese to make the experience better.- Serviço
